Beginners to intermediates, oil or acrylic. Learn about good composition, how to create lighting and atmosphere and how to work with colors in the landscape. Included is paint mixing, using different brushes and brush strokes to create textures. A reference photo will be provided or you can bring your own. Tuesdays 10:30am – 12:30 pm. January 9 – February 13, 2018. 6 weeks. $85.00 per person.
Minimum enrollment 5, max 10.
Materials: 11×15 or 12×16 canvas, any brushes or paints you have but include a pointed round sable/synthetic, flat or angled shader, filbert, and flat and round bristle brushes (synthetic if working in acrylics). Paints – burnt sienna, burnt umber, yellow ochre or yellow oxide, cerulean or manganese blue, french ultramarine blue, alizarin crimson, cadmium red, cadmium yellow, Hookers or sap green, titanium white. Oils need mineral spirits and a leak proof jar (canning jars work). Rags or paper towels and a bag to take them home in.
