ALNB’s Annual Juried Members Exhibit

New and renewing members are encouraged to submit up to three works of art for the Art League of New Britians annual members exhibit.

  • Up to three pieces may be submitted for consideration.

    ALNM Members Only - 1st entry $10, additional entries $5

    Juried for entry and prizes. Registration does not guarantee your piece will be accepted.

  • 1st prize: $200

    2nd Prize: $100

    3rd Prize: $75

    Juror's Award: $50

    Honorable Mention: $50

  • We welcome original artworks (no giclee or reproductions) in all mediums. Some examples:

    • Paintings • Drawings • Prints-making

    • Photography • Mixed media • 3D Art

    No AI artwork or work that utilizes AI in any form will be accepted

    Artists must be 18 years old or older.

    2D Artwork
    MUST be ready to hang with wire or D-rings/ screw eyes. NO EASEL BACK FRAMES. The exception are prints on metal, if they have the keyhole hanger. All canvases must be framed, except for gallery wrap canvases with painted sides.

    3D Artwork
    The Art League has a limited number of sculpture bases. Oversize sculptures are welcome if artist supplies base. Wall reliefs may not exceed 8” depth or maximum 40 lbs. Accepted work must remain on display until the show closes including those that are sold.

    All accepted work must remain on display the entire time

    Sales: 70% to artists, 30% to ALNB

    Saturdays & Sundays - 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM

  • The artist shows at their own risk. Artwork will be handled with all possible care. The Art League of New Britain is not responsible for loss or damage to any artwork. This especially concerns fragile media like photos printed on metal or heavier than usual wall pieces

All artists interested in submitting for this exhibit MUST register their work before the closing of the last day of drop off, September 6th at 12PM. No pieces will be accepted after this time.

Featuring Juror, Francis Estrada

Born in the Philippines and currently residing in Brooklyn, Francis Estrada is a visual artist and educator. He has a fine arts degree in painting and drawing, and has taught in a variety of studio, classroom, and museum settings to diverse audiences, including programs for adults with disabilities, cultural institutions, and after-school programs. As a museum educator, he enjoys teaching about the amalgamation of art and culture through objects. His artwork focuses on culture, history, and perception.
